At Hugo & Holly Day Nursery we adopt a flexible approach to learning. We avoid the pressure of a strict routine but instead prefer to plan the day depending on the children as well as taking inspiration from other factors such as the weather, time of year, topical events and festivities. We aim to allow time in the day for the children to be indoors and outside, both active and restful, to play and to learn, to socialise in groups and also have time by themselves. Everything we do is carefully planned to be fun and engaging. The children usually have no idea that their key learning skills (such as listening, concentrating and working together) are being developed along with their abilities in early communication, language and maths.
